Six months ago I was rescued from my three month stint on death row, just a day before my scheduled execution. The wonderful people who saved me told me it might be a temporary situation, but they did not want such a sweet dog like myelf to be put down due to lack of room at the shelter. I agreed!Unfortunately, the time has come where their yard is no longer a fair place to contain all my energy and love. They are now looking to find me the perfect forever home. Please give me a chance. I promise to love you forever!

The good:
My humans trained me to sit, lay down and stop jumping (most of the time) as well as how to behave on runs- I love running and am a very good running partner. I am extremely submisive and just want to play with everyone I meet. I love everything and have never demonstrated the slightest bit of aggression towards anything. I absolutely love children and could lick them all day if my humans let me. I have been around cats a couple times. I was curious about these fuzzy creatures, but they hissed at me and I got scared! I would never hurt them!
I am in excellent health- neutered, microchipped, up to date on all shots, heart worm negative and on monthly heartworm/flea preventative. I am estimated to be one to one and a half years young. My humans will give you a copy of my stellar vet records.
I have been an outdoor dog in my new home and love my doggy house and to lay in the pool, but when my humans have let me inside, I have been extremely well mannered.
Check out my pictures, they really don't do me justice- I am one hot dog!! I get compliments everywhere I go! People see my black and white coat and ask what breed I am and my owners reply- heeler (cattle dog) mix. Some say I'm mixed with Catahoula and the vet thought I was mixed with lab. I think I just look cool :)

The bad:
Like all heelers, I have alot of energy that I want to share with you or another dog. I would love someplace to run free or to just follow you everywhere you go.
I am a pack dog and get very lonely without a companion of either doggy or human variety. I absolutely cannot go to a home where I will be kept on a chain or alone for long periods of time. I will do my trademark "yodelling" which is funny at first, but is a little much to bear for a long period of time. I just want to be with my family, I'm sure you can relate!
Like all young dogs, my obedience training needs reinforcement to work. I have sit down 100% and I know to sit instead of jump or I won't get pet, but this must be reinforced as I get very excited to see you and sometimes it is hard for me to contain it all.

My owners would like to find me a forever home where I will be showered with love or will have tons of room to run and will be well taken care of. That sounds great with me!!! They would be happy to let you and your family meet me and will let anyone seriously interested test adopt me for a week to be sure we are a good match. If you've read this far, chances are, I'm your guy!!
My humans tell me I'm a wonderful dog and deserves a good life with loving humans. Can you let me into your heart and into your family?
